The job market is competitive! It may be flattering when recruiters call you, but how should you respond if you’re not really looking for a new job? “There are ways to benefit from these calls, even if you’re happy with your current employer,” says recruitment expert Cathy Muldoon, founder of Growth-Passion-Success LLC. “You might even create relationships that will help your career. The secret is knowing which recruiters are worth your time.”

Muldoon will present a workshop entitled, Recruiters: Friend or Foe? How to stay on the good side of recruiters, during the February 26 meeting of Sales and Marketing Executives International Minnesota. This workshop is sponsored by Predictable Performance Systems.

During the workshop, Muldoon will share insider tips from the recruiter’s perspective that will enable you to maximize your relationships and time spent with recruiters. “Top recruiters know, for example, what skills are in highest demand. That’s advice that can help you become an even more valuable employee. They can also give you insights into your industry’s current career growth potential,” says Muldoon, who has more than 15 years of retained executive recruiting. “If and when you decide to change jobs, having a longstanding relationship with a recruiter is an advantage because that person is already familiar with your strengths and career path.”

This event is sponsored by Sales & Marketing Executives International of Minnesota and Predictable Performance Systems. It will take place at The Woman’s Club main dining room from 7:30-9:00 a.m. A hot buffet breakfast will be served.
